The Nazis often had high ranking Catholic officials/Priests/Nuns/etc executed in public if they disagreed with the Third Reich, as well as steal church property.

Honestly, the only reason Hitler and the Nazis did not go after the Catholic church instead of the Protestants was because the Protestants were not nearly as well organized, structured, and had no where as near as much power as the Catholic Church.
