Can someone check my work to see if I did this right? A bag contains 4 red marbles, 6 blue marbles, and 8 green marbles. One marble is to be chosen at random. What is the probability that the chosen marble will be green? A. 1/18 B. 1/8 C. 1/3 D. 4/9

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

What answer did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

Can you show me how you got that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actualy now I think its D. but I Just picked it because their is a total of 18 and you can select just one but sence it was asking for green marbles I just did 1/8 as my choice

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

It is D, because there are 18 total, and 8 of them are green 8/18 simplifies to 4/9
