299 792 458 m / s ishow fast the speed of light is

OpenStudy (theeric):

Okay, and what might happen if you travel at nearly the speed of light?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your plaane will catch on fire you will crash and everything will explode and everyone has a happy ever after haha jk i dont remebr haha

OpenStudy (theeric):

Well, you'd need a couple more sentences. Does time dilation sound familiar?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but its like shoved int the back half of my brain

OpenStudy (theeric):

Well, time dilation is a special relativistic effect, meaning that it always happens but isn't very noticeable until something is traveling near the speed of light.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Time dilation is when moving objects seem to have time go by more slowly.

OpenStudy (theeric):

But, as far as we know, time never goes backwards. In your response, you can say that time cannot go backwards, but for the other sentences bring up the special relativistic effect that deals with time (time dilation). I have to go. Take care and good luck!
