OpenStudy (thackery):

what is the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this number an irrational number?\[\sqrt{\frac{ 64 }{ 2 } }\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: 2 is not a perfect square, whereas 64 is a perfect square, since we have: 64=8*8, so we can write: \[\sqrt {\frac{{64}}{2}} = \frac{8}{{\sqrt 2 }}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its rational?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

are you sure? We can not write sqrt(2) like a fraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh oh irrational!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

that's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get it thx! c:

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

thanks! :)
