Could use some help with this; Find X and Y and show work below. Depression trig function, angle is 36 and the hypotenuse is 26000. Y is the only needed. Thanks, (adding the picture of the func)

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

So, the sum of x and the depression angle should be 90 deg. So, what do you think x is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

X is supposed to be 36 deg. I completely forget the way to solve for the adjacent, Y. Y is all that is needed as X is had, which is 36.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Hm, does it say that the depression angle is 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. X is supposed to be one of four angle options, I had to pick 36 degrees.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Hm, I don't know what you mean that you get to pick x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There was four options for the angle that X is on the picture, I was required to use 36.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Hm, I'm still confused on what that means, but I can help you assuming that is correct.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

What side (opposite, adjacent, or hypotenuse) is the 26000?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

from the perspective of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hypotenuse is 26000
