OpenStudy (welshfella):

there are 20 bottles and 4 are purple so what is the probability he picks a purple bottle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i may be wrong, but believe you multiply the possibility of the purple bottle by the probability of up

OpenStudy (welshfella):

right or simplifying that its 1/5 now the probabolity of getting a head on the toss is 1/2

OpenStudy (welshfella):

these 2 events are independent so the 2 probabilities are multiplied

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so.. @kiamousekia what is your answer

OpenStudy (welshfella):

1/5 * 1/2 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks i got
