if a company developed a way to modify a persons DNA to gurantee certain attributes in offspring. should that company be forced to make their technology available to everyone who wanted it? what are some of the ramifications of widespread use of this technology on human kind?

OpenStudy (barreraa):

The attributes desired by the "parent" (DNA supplier), may not be those that are most advantageous for the survival of the species. This would minimize the amount of variation in the gene pool, making the species too homogentic, making it less likely to survive at species sustaining levels of breeding pairs should some natural disease prove especially virulent to the current "favorite" humanoid type. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120621180310AAGHcKs
