Which triangle congruence theorem could be used to show that triangle AED is congruent to triangle AEB? I'm stuck because it looks like it would only be HL; the hypotenuses are congruent and they're both right triangles, and they share the side AE. But, the choices are A) SAS and ASA B) SAS and HL C) ASA and HL D) SAS, ASA, and HL

Think you could draw a picture real quick?

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Or I can try if I'm following your description |dw:1432151798975:dw|

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Like that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome! Yes; I was just trying to pull up a picture :)

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

HL would definitely work.

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Notice that the triangle as a whole is isoceleses. What does that tell you about the base angles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH MY GOD thank you!!!!! You are awesome!!!!!!

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Yep C:

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

No problem
