Find the inverse of the function. f(x)= sqrt cubed x/8 -4

OpenStudy (chris215):

\[\sqrt[3]{x/8}-4\]

OpenStudy (chris215):

f^-1(x) = [8(x + 4)]^3 is this the right answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is easy just follow these steps:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

move 4 to the other side, cube both sides, multiply by 8, change y to x and x to y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the number 8 is outside the barracket

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f^-1(x) = 8[(x + 4)]^3

OpenStudy (chris215):

ok so it is the right answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope this is helpful, Regards
