When population growth increases in an area, what is happening to the birth rate and age structure of that population? a.increasing birth rate with a greater number of young organisms b.increasing birth rate with a smaller number of old organisms c.increasing birth rate with a smaller number of young organisms d.increasing birth rate with a greater number of old organisms
@polkapen
if I am being honest, I am not that well informed with these types of things, but I would assume that it would be an increasing birth rate combined with a greater number of young organisms. The young, healthy organisms would reproduce, creating more births. Older organisms may not be fit enough to reproduce, and a decrease in population, whether young or old, will not contribute to population growth. This is what I think just by reasoning and elimination, but a more educated person might be able to verify my answer @ar_16
a.increasing birth rate with a greater number of young organisms, but Im not completely sure
