How did artist Wassily Kandinsky incorporate characteristics of Expressionism in Improvisation 31 (Sea Battle)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kandinsky used lines and colors to create a nonrepresentational artwork. Kandinsky used bold, exaggerated lines and colors to communicate his inner feelings. Kandinsky used splashes of color to capture the effects of sunlight on a subject. Kandinsky used layers of thin and thick paint colors to build up the objects.

Am I the go to guy for Art History?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yah pretty much. That's a good thing though!

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

I suppose it is. Kandinsky was more of a structure kind of guy, so I would go with D. He enjoyed a more thin layer technique.
