Will medal Create your own word problem that can be solved using a system of equations. You have to make the problem, system, and solution. Okay so that was a question i had, i tried making one which is at the bottom. If someone could help with it that would be great. 20 people attended a church cookout. The amount made for veggie burgers was $52.00 The amount made for the ground beef burgers was 50.20 the total amount made for both burgers was $102.20 how many people bought veggie burgers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i'm not sure if that's okay or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what are the 2 equasions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i made the word problem but i'm not sure on how to make one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that can be solved in one equasion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would not work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, think of an equasion with 2 variables that cannot be solved

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see, yeah im not got at these things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no...i don't think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is an example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + y = 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it cannot be solved by itself, you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do one yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

something like the one you just did?
