Why is Siberia much colder than western Russia?

OpenStudy (captainfluffy):

cause its more north and is part of the Arctic circle

OpenStudy (kash_thesmartguy):

It's more to the North side compared to the rest of the Russia.

OpenStudy (deving7240):

Western Russia tends to get warmed from the Mediterranean and Africa while Siberia is separated from Europe and Russia because of the Ural Mountains so Siberia doesn't get the warm air
