Abuse of statistics is a misuse of statistics occurs when a statistical argument asserts a falsehood. In some cases, the misuse may be accidental. In others, it is purposeful and for the gain of the perpetrator.
In this case what has been done wrong is the the student has concluded something without multiple tests, and hence could've made mistakes during his poll. There are many factors that could also contribute, like the students lying, etc.
