How Do I rewrite the Poem "A Birthday" by Christina Rossetti using the language of today?

if you dont know how then get out a paper to organize so you can prep and think about it. Lined paper should be fine.

Alright make one row about words. So put down words that arent from this time and words that stand out

Next line. write about emotions.

Line 3 write about the theme


what youre doing is youre picking it apart piece by piece. (you're not writing the poem yet)

Now replace those words in line words with words you use today.

Replace those emotions with events that you can relate to while still giving off the same emotion

Keep the theme the same just put it in a way you can relate.


Now put all these things together and write your poem
