Q. Are We Too Dependent On Computers?

Yes! i believe we r, when someone asks i need the directions to this and that no one says ok let me pull out a paper map they say let me look it up
what if ur phone is dead! or u have no wifi!? they will be really lost

the same thing could go for computer 2! my mom is always on the computer typing so i could imagine how she would be without it...LOST and CONFUSED don't get me wrong my mom is super smart but she can't take a break from her computer or i-pad or phone it's just nearly impossible 4 her

well on education side i would say were not as dependent on technology i mean we still have 2 crack ope the books teachers still write on whiteboards we still use paper and pencil's but education wise still uses a lot of technology @ my old school (before i was homeschooled) there was touch screen computers! and now you can go 2 school online! there r so many choices

students can just type in certain problems and the computer will work them out and just give answers without giving directions on how to do them

While it definitely does have its downsides I think its quite useful or at least for my circumstances it is. I'm home schooled and so if I ever need to ask what a word means i can just look it up online. I do understand that libraries are around but that's way to far for me to walk. Also I'm a visual learner especially for math. In my home school we pretty much use books so being a visual learner i need it worked out for me. I can simply look up a video online with step by step instructions rather than just trying to read a few fairly vague words from a book. So in that way, I feel computers are very useful and that we aren't necessarily too dependent on them, it's just that they are a much quicker alternative than going to a library and such.

good job! @Queenrae99 !!! i am homeschooled 2 and i do believe the internet is a very big impact on our life it's part of our everyday lifestyle if you think about it over 2, 925,249, 355 people use the internet That is a lot not everybody is dependent on internet i'm not, i only use it 4 school and Pandora and this obviously! But i don't have a phone yet so i don't really have much of a reason 2 use it. I think when u have a phone and facebook or instagram or twitter than that is exactly when u start using the internet more frequently just look at the average teenager! either texting or on a website!

I think not because when there is something on the computer we need to do, we can just do it on our phones. And if you dont have a phone, then yeah, they use the computer. But they barely use it enough to count.

Too Dependent. We have become too dependent on computers for answers, personal interactions, and we spend way too much time on them. If we used the computers for learning and as a tool this issue wouldn't be as big. The sad truth is that people use this great tool for an easy way to get out of face to face interactions with other people. In 10-20 years it is said that there will be a computer smarter than the whole human race alive today. That is a scary future that we don't have to look very far to.

Are we dependent on computers? Yeah we are but i dont know if i would go as far as saying we're "too" dependent. And even if we are why does it matter? We use computers as a tool. We use to do homework, research stupid things, and keep in touch. Computers are here and theyre not going anywhere so why shame eachother by saying we're too attached? Of course theres the possibility of computers stop working but it's not gonna be the end of the world. Will people be upset? Yeah there might even be a slight panic but we'll survive. So why are worrying about a topic that will have no effect?

Sorry here this question a lot and just dont see the point of it. Why complain about something helps people so much!?

Yeah we are dependent on computers but don't forget the other devices like phones tablets etc, i see more people are dependent with phones then computers, i use a computer daily so you could say I'm dependent on it, It does sometimes being people closer, You can meet people from all around the world that you cant meet in your state which i think is cool.

We are too dependent on computer. Not just computers but also all other electronics. I am an online student so I really do depend on computers and I also go on social sites a lot. I go on my phone and my computer. We spend to much time on computers, instead of going outside and meeting people in person. Computers do save time but we really do depend on computers too much.

i believe many people are too reliant on computers. Even for doing homnework, this website shows that many people would rather ask random people online that go to a teacher, parent, or friend. (no offense) but even asking this question online proves my point. Although it is okay to ask people online, it might be better to ask your friends, or classmates. But, Computers are very useful. They are a good tool, as long as we are not completely reliant on technology
