Can someone explain to me the difference between converging and diverging within geometric sequences?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just a clarification, yeah.

OpenStudy (loser66):

OpenStudy (thomas5267):

A converging sequence of geometric series is a series for which the sum to infinity exists. A diverging sequence of geometric series is a series for which the sum to infinity does not exists.
