help please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To solve for the following proportion, you could use equivalent ratios, divide out the known ratio, or use cross products. Choose one of these methods to solve for t. Show your work and explain why you chose that method.\[\frac{ 1.2 }{ 0.7 }=\frac{ 3.6 }{ t }\]

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i usually cross-multiply. do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but the assignment mentioned cross dividing as the cross product but it didnt mention cross multiplying so i think it wants me to solve it using one of those ways in the first sentence

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i think cross products and cross-multiplying are the same thing. but if you're worried about it, we can easily use equivalent ratios

OpenStudy (aripotta):

1.2 times what equals 3.6?
