whats the formula for half a cylinder?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume or area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

both i think. idk

Kay, so I searched on google...And I don't know if you're looking for something this detailed but here: The area of each end disk can be found from the radius r of the circle. The area of a circle is πr2, so the combined area of the two disks is twice that, or2πr2. The area of the rectangle is the width times height. The width is the height h of the cylinder, and the length is the distance around the end circles.

I have both. What you want to do with these formulas is divide them by two once you get the final answer, if you're looking for half the value. Area: 2 * pi * r * (r+h) Volume: V = Bh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even if its half ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just divide by two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find it the normal way and divide by 2 boom half a circle haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the normal wayy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

music mouse posted formulas above

oh ok thank u
