use multiple causation to explain the relationship between the last ice age and different cultural patterns in the northern and southern united states
Wow that's a good one. Is this an essay?

@wwhitlock just a short response but I have no idea how to even start
There is quite a long time period between the two. So we are looking at something large in scale. The first thing I would consider is geography. I hoping you've got some kind of knowledge of what the ice age did to the North American continent. I'm not that knowledgeable, but maybe I've got enough. The northeast in the US has rocky soil, not great for farming. The south has much better geographic conditions for things like tobacco or cotton plantations. So when the industrial Revolution came around the north jumped on it. Industry makes a lot of sense in that geography. And slavery doesn't make much sense in an industrial culture. The South was good with plantations and slavery. The rivers also play into it. The South has lots of long navigable rivers to travel on and ship crops on. The North has shorter but more powerful rivers. A water wheel to power a factory makes much more sense in the north. OK that's what I've got. Hope it helps.
this helps thank you @wwhitlock
