I would prefer A. The reason is that one needs to really look at it to find out that two of the bars top between the marks. The intervals 6 -> 6.5 -> 7 -> 7.5 ... would make it easier. At least I would have much less trouble. :). Another addition would actually be colouring it. However this is not offered. What do you think?

And small addition from me as well: Actually the scale shows the break (useful for large gaps). However the bars are not having the breaks. Many people would object even though this is rather miner... So, not really important.
