FOR AN EASY MEDAL AND FAN, help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Read the paragraph. Recently, I have noticed that our student body has adopted a practice that should be avoided. Students discard a large amount of uneaten food during lunch. Everything thrown in the trash bins ends up in a landfill, which is a problem because the pollution and gases related to landfills can harm the environment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The writer uses the first sentence to point out several effects of the problem. sum up the importance of the problem. propose a solution. express a viewpoint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B or D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well usually you don't sum something up until the end

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Well which one of those 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sum up the importance of the problem. OR express a viewpoint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well its is an opinion, which is the same as a viewpoint.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm.... it sounds like a a sum up to me because it says that " it should be avoided "

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but again I am confused

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Sum ups are at the end, not beginning

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you asked for help, I gave you my answer :) I'm outta here

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

So the answer is.... D because the writer is expressing his point-of-view.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KendrickLamar2014 I give you a medal and you give me one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks guys :) I need help on a few more questions...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I gotta go sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can hardly keep my eyes open I'm so tired
