someone tried to help out with this one earlier, but we couldn't get it either. i kn during that time the democratic- republicans took over because Andrew Jackson believed in slavery and we didn't want him to mess up everything that the former slaves had worked so hard for. however that's as far as my knowledge goes on this subject.

hello, I believe it is option D. 

Who are these Repub-Demo? They are the Pres. Jackson and his followers. They believed that two things to my knowledge: 

1. Strict interp. of the U.S. Constitution. 
2. Favored State's rights. In other words, disliked government interference with state's rights.

Expanding point: 1. What i mean by is that Repub-Demo did not believe that the U.S. Constitution 'evolved' therefore, followed it 'literally' word for word. 

Like some parents, they would keep traditions and their culture regardless of how bad it may seem or convenient to their family/circumstances.
