A football is kicked toward the goal. The height of the ball is modeled by the function h(t) = -16t2 + 64t where t equals the time in seconds and h(t) represents the height of the ball at time t seconds. What is the axis of symmetry, and what does it represent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the axis of symmetry is the point when the ball changes it's path , from rising to descending , it represents the hights point reached by the ball , to find the time where the balls kicks ground we need to solve the equation -16t² + 64 t = 0 , you gonna find to squares , you'll take the one greater than 0 after you find the time , you divide it by 2 , T2 = T(total) / t not put your new timing ( T2) in the equation , solve it you'll find the highest point, hope that was helpful !

T2 = T(total) / 2 , sry
