Basically my question is, what does bounded above and bounded below mean? I have goggled it, however I am unable to comprehend what it was saying. If someone could explain it better, I might be able to understand.

bounded above means that it does not head off to positive infinity as x gets larger

so here is something that isn't bounded above



it keeps growing and growing forever

it's an increasing function, but it slows its growth down and approaches a horizontal asymptote
