OpenStudy (anonymous):

5, the number that corresponds to amplitude for sine and cosine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks! how do you find the middle line for the function? i have another similar to this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*ignore my chosen answer. this is the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the number added/subtracted "outside" of the function. If this one was \[y=5\csc(3t-\frac{ 5\pi }{ 6 })-9\] the middle line is y = -9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the one you just posted nothing's added so it's y = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whew i was dying to know what the "height" of cosecant was...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh i gotchya. thank you very much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw
