what would happen to the human population if endosperms where not a source of food?

We would be running around eating pine cone nuts and there probably wouldn't be enough food to support a large population of humans. Flowering plants produce almost all of our vegetable, nut, grain crops.

And fruit too, can't forget about fruit. They are all from flowering plants too.
