The strategical way is to find the prime factorisation of each and multiply them together. I'm going to show you that way now. \[24=2^{3}*3\] and \[36=2^2*3^2\]

You then multiply the maximum of each base (for example, 2^3 is the greatest for 2 and 3^2 is the greatest for 3 in the two factorisations):\[2^3*3^2=72\]
