The Sun produces 3.9 ⋅ 10^33 ergs of radiant energy per second. How many ergs of radiant energy does the Sun produce in 2.45 ⋅ 10^5 seconds? (Will medal)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

3.9 * 10^33 * 2.45 * 10^5 multiply the exponent parts according to the rule x^a * x^b = x^(a+b)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

then work out 3.9 * 2.45 and combine them if the latter result is less than 10 then the exponent will not change

OpenStudy (welshfella):

then calculate 3.9 * 2.45 and combine the 2 results
