Which best describes how to get from the origin to the point (7, –4)? A. Move 7 units up, then 4 units to the left. B. Move 7 units up, then 4 units to the right. C. Move 7 units to the left, then 4 units down. D. Move 7 units to the right, then 4 units down.

D would be your answer Here's why (7,-4) ---- (X,Y) X-axis is horizontal (Left-Right) Y-Axes is vertical (Up-DOwn) On the coordinate grid in Quad I its all positive So when moving on the X-Axis Left is negative Right is positive When moving on the Y-Axis Up is positive and DOwn is negative So when u plot it on your graph, You see that the 7 is a positive and its in your X space (x,y) so you move Right 7 spaces and -4 is on your Y spot so after moving 7 to the right you move down 4 spaces

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey genius isnt it in the second quandrent because in first quadrent everything is positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wasn't saying the point was in Quad 1 i was saying that its all positive so she could understand which way to move, Like Left is negative Up is positive as an example
