Why do you think humans have such large foreheads in comparison to chimps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Humans are descendants from chimps. The first humans were actually chimps and apes. Hope this helps!

Genes can turn on and off. So our "gene" for head growth is on much longer than chimps.

Humans have developed a larger brain. It is one of the main characteristics that distinguishes the human lineage from other apes. We did not develop from chimps, but we do share a common ancestor with them aged at 5-6 million years ago. We have a larger skull to house and protect that larger brain and that causes the forehead.
