I would say concentration and logic to start off with.

It is very hard for one to perform a task without being fully concentrated, i.e. not distracted by the surroundings, etc. In this way, they can work at their maximum potential.

Furthermore, many subjects require a pragmatic approach rather than memorising theorems and formulas. Many people take a theoretical viewpoint of subjects such as maths, but when you actually understand the practicality of the stuff you learn and be logical about what you do, you will eventually find that the material you learn will become much easier.
