OpenStudy (anonymous):

A tennis ball of mass 6 x 10^-2 kg, initially moving at a speed of 30 m/s, hits a wall and rebounds with a speed of 20 m/s. Assuming no energy loss to the wall, find the increase in the internal energy of the ball.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Hint: we have to apply the conservation energy law kinetic energy before= kinetic energy after + increasing of internal energy of the ball where, of course, before and after refer to the collision between the ball and the wall
