What is a sound device? This is not a homework question, I don't understand the meaning. Can someone explain it to me in their own way. Please don't copy and paste from google, because that's the meaning I don't understand.
I have to identify a sound device in a song, but I don't even understand what a sound device is.
Sound devices are used to enhance writing, usually poetry. Examples of this is rhyming and onomatopoeia
can you give me an example "example"
Can you find text that uses this.
Yes, let me grab one of my poems real quick and show you
Thanks, I can't quite comprehend the meaning of english words. :P
In music the sound device would be the rhythm just like in art the device is the paintbrush and in writing there are many devices
In writing the sound device could be formed by description or by onomatopoeia. Things you see in writing like; bang, meow, honk, etc. Are all words used to describe sounds in a literal fashion. These are sound devices. You may also describe what something sounded like in your writing like "I heard the high pitched creaking of the door as she attempted sneaking into my bedroom." This is less of a "sound device" more so than writing in a vivid fashion so when speaking about sound devices I would stick to onomatopoeia. Some examples of onomatopoeia may assist you: -Buzz -Clap -Woof -Gargled -Groaned -Gulped -Clicking -Clatter -Moaning -Raspy -Zapped -Thumped -Boom -Beep Hope this helps! (:
