What is the domain of validity for csc theta = 1 / sin theta? a. All real numbers b. All real numbers except odd multiples of pi/ 2 c. All real numbers except even multiples of pi/2 d. All real numbers except multiples of pi.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain is invalid everywhere the denominator, sin Θ = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check out your unit circle. Where is sin Θ = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure what your talking about? i dont know how to do any of this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a unit circle. Have you seen this before? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_trigonometric_identities#/media/File:Unit_circle_angles_color.svg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The x-coordinates for the angles gives their cosines and the y-coordinates gives the sines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i havent..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's ok. What you want to find for this problem are the points where the y-coordinates are 0, because the y-coordinates is the sine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so judging by the firs thing you said would the answer be A?
