Help with matrices?
metric
what?
Autumn, I think you need to understand the concepts with matrices, and then you can easily solve them yourself. How about we learn that together instead of answering this specific question?
I don't have time for that... I'm stressing out I need to get through this as soon as I can
Well it defeats the purpose of an education then doesn't it? What's the point of even doing it if you'll never apply it... Alright good luck.
Since you're given a list of choices, you can check each choice by plugging them into the equations. If you get 3 true equations, then that point is the solution.
So let's say we pick on choice D (I'm just randomly picking an answer choice) (-4,2,-4) means x = -4, y = 2, z = -4 Check equation 1: 3x + y - 4z = -30 3(-4) + 2 - 4(-4) = -30 ... plug in x = -4, y = 2, z = -4 6 = -30 ... this is false Since the last equation is false, this means that (-4,2,-4) does NOT make the first equation true. So it doesn't make the entire system true. That's why we can eliminate D as an answer choice.
oh good idea thank you @jim_thompson5910
np and keep in mind that the goal is to make all 3 equations true
I got it, the answer was C
Thank you so much guys I got 100% on that quiz! :D
