A car has an initial velocity of 10 m/sec. it reaches a final velocity of 40 m/sec in 3.5 sec. What is the average velocity of the car? How far did the car travel during this time?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

It is simple, you have to apply this formula: \[\Large {v_{average}} = \frac{{{v_1} + {v_2}}}{2}\] where v_1=10 m/sec, and v_2=40 m/sec
