Given: X = r + 2, Y = 2r - 9, and Z = r 2 + 17r + 30. Simplify [X · Y - Z] ÷ X.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if you look at Z it can be factored to (r + 2)(r + 15) so \[[X.Y - Z]\div X = [(r + 2)(2r - 9) - (r +2)(r + 15)] \div (r + 2)\] remove the common factor and simplify
