Rational Expressions Simplify a^2+5a+4 / a^3 Please show your work so I can understand what you're doing.
Well here are my steps to answer this: a^2 + 5a + 4 / a^3 a^2 - a^2 + 5a +4 / a^3 - a^2 5a + 4 / a ^1 So... Unless I have a value for a I have to substitute it as 1. 5 + 4 / 1 9 / 1 = 9 Your answer is 9!
a^2+5a+4 / a^3 divided by a^2+3a+2 / a^2-2a
a^2 + 3a + 2 / a^2 - 2a a^2 - a^2 + 3a + 2 / a^2 - 2a - a^2 3a + 2 / 2a 2a - 3a + 2 / 2a - 2a 1a + 2 So... Unless I have a value for a I have to substitute it as 1. 1 + 2 = 3 So... We have to plug in are numbers and end up with 9 divided by 3 which equals 3. Your answer is 3!
thank you!
Remember that I did not check my answers, however I am pretty decent at math and know a thing or two about this. My answer may be wrong and I suggest you check it with your supports.
