Please help! check answer attachment below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think this is A? It seems to be the only one that fits.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to make sure I'm doing these right.

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

These are rather simple, if you plug them into a calculator and graph them, the point where they cross should be your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't have a graphing system for this... I've tried to look on the internet but none make sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I think I'm right. It may seem simple but I'm just barely learning this and wanted to find people who could tell me if I am on the right track.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good instinct then

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can use https://www.desmos.com/calculator to graph. Type each inequality as its own separate line. Make sure to type "abs(x-2)" without quotes to mean |x-2|

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh wait nvm, you can type in |x-2| just fine and the website will know what you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do I just leave the first one as is or turn it to abs?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you just type in y < 3x-1

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

No just type everything as is using your keyboard.

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

http://prntscr.com/79eqqu this is what is should look like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@xapproachesinfinity yeah that's what mine looked at first. So now, how do I see the ordered pair I need?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

well check them all and see which ones are in the intersection area

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

A is the correct answer (4,4) belongs the that area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep thanks for helping me :)

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

np you are doing good, keep it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@omarbirjas and thanks for all the good websites :)
