Factor out the GCF of 2n from each term 2n(2^2+3n+2)/2n In this problem and 2+1=3, so insert 2 as the right hand term of one factor and 1 as the right-hand term of the other factor 2n(n+2) (n+1)/2n now reduce by removing the 2n from the numerator and denominator simplify and multiply and divide all like terms n^2+3n + 2
