OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

What is the interquartile range of each data set? Identify the interval of values that defines the IQR? I got the interquartile range of my data sets but can someone tell me how to get the second part please?

@rational can you help me with this please?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

The inter-quartile range is the difference between the upper and lower quartiles of a set of values.

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

Yea i got the IQR's already, i got .00205 for the first set and .000325 for the second one i just don't know how to identify the interval of values that defines the IQR

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Have you calculated the values of the first and the third quartiles for each set of values?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

yea i got Q1= 2.29869 Q3= 2.30074 for the first set and Q1=2.309935 and Q3=2.31026 for the second set I got IQR of data set 1= 0.002049999999999663→ 0.00205 IQR of data set 2=0.00032499999999968665→ 0.000325 I just don't know how to answer the second part of the question @kropot72

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Please wait a little for my reply.

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

Ok thanks

OpenStudy (kropot72):

The inter-quartile range is the 'interval of values' on which is concentrated the central 50% of the probability.
