Hello there! Could someone please help me with this equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 2k - 10 }{ -7 } = 8\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for k, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first multiply by -7 both sides 2k-10=-7*8 then add 10 on both sides: 2k=-56+10 finally divide by 2: \[k=\frac{ -46 }{ 2 }=-23\] :)
