An arrow is shot vertically upward from a platform 39 ft high at a rate of 167 ft per sec. When will the arrow hit the ground? Use the formula: h = −16t2 + v0t + h0. (Round your answer to the nearest tenth.)

Do you have answer choice or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I don't. I got 10.7 for an answer but I don't know if that is correct or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what I got h=−16t2+t+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h=-16t^2+167t+39 is the equation. I am supposed to use the quadratic formula to solve it when h=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When I did the formula i got some weird negative number and 10.66something so 10.7
