I will give a medal to the best response! thanks so much :) Write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y = -3x + 12 and passes through the point (-1, 6)

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

parallel lines means that both lines have the same slope the slope is -3 the line that is parallel to y = -3x + 12 has the form y = -3x + b find b by plugging in (-1,6) into the equation y = -3x + b
