Hello and welcome to Openstudy.

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

To solve your question, first go to https://www.desmos.com/ and graph y=3x^2+2

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

Do you know what domain means?

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

Domain- A set of possible values for x

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

Since we know that a positive parabola opens up wards to infinity, then we can say that the domain=All Real Numbers

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

Range is the same as the domain, but opposite, it is the possible values for y.

OpenStudy (omarbirjas):

and since we know that a parabola opens only one way, and in this case upwards, we know that the parabola is going to be mostly positive. We have to find the vertex to find the range, the vertex in this case is (0,2). Which would mean that the possible values of y will be equal to or greater than 2. Range is greater than or equal to 2
