Makayla is talking to Mia about the whether we ever landed on the Moon. Mia says,” I have a theory about that.” Using 3 – 4 complete sentences, what is wrong with Mia’s use of the term “theory” in this instance?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

here are my sentences: 1) a scientific theory has to have a philosophical or metaphysics foundation. For example The General Theory of Relativity is strongly based on the Kantian philosophy. Whereas what Mia can say is a series of facts which led the human being on the Moon

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

2) A theory can be used in order to make some predictions about the argument developed by that theory, whereas what Mia can say is a series of facts which can not explain further about the Moon or the nature of the Moon. Only with further journeys, to the Moon and new explorations of the Moon can say more about the same Moon

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

3) A theory, has to be confirmed performing some experiments on the phenomena studied by that theory, whereas what Mia can say, is, in a certain sense an experimentation of the human being, about the presence of man on the Moon
