Read the excerpt and answer the following question. Like some bold seër in a trance, Seeing all his own mischance— With a glassy countenance Did she look to Camelot. How does the painter interpret these lines? He chooses to have her look down to emphasize her awareness of ill-fortune. He chooses to have her stare into the distance to emphasize her boldness. He chooses to have her grip the chain to emphasize her detachment from everyone. He chooses to have her lips parted to emphasize her trance-like state

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Is there a picture included with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Ah, thank you. Well, in the painting, she is looking off into an unknown distance we cannot see. B might be a possibility. However, C might be a possibility as well.

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Which answer choice do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it was B, I just wasn't sure

OpenStudy (toman):

Don't give out answers. @SoullessEyes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@toman isn't that what this website is for? Homework help?

OpenStudy (toman):

Yes. But that's an answer, not help.

OpenStudy (toman):

If you actually read the CoC before signing up, you'd know that.

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

brb

OpenStudy (toman):

But apparently people now a days don't like to read.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well someone has a stick up their butt xD

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Anyways, toman, notice how I did not blatantly give him the answer. I did not just say the answer is A! or some crap like that. I gave him 2 options, asked for his, and was going to ask why he thought it was the answer until you interrupted.

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Now, heyyy, why do YOU think it is B?

OpenStudy (toman):

Obviously, but giving out the answer defeats the purpose of this site. You ask them what they think and LEAD them to the answer. Not just give it out.. Like you did.

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

I did NOT give out the answer. I gave him the two answers that I thought seemed likely. Obviously he thought so as well, since he responded with B. Now PLEASE let me work with this person and we can talk about this afterwards, alright?

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Now, why do you think it is B heyyy?

OpenStudy (toman):

No. Just don't do that again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wasn't B. But I still have one more try. If I had to guess again it would most likely be A. I don't know if I'm interpreting it right but it seems like a very dreary poem to me and she is "ill-fortuned". But idk xD

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Ah, great explanation! It does indeed look dreary and gray painting. Her looking down might suggest that her life is "going downhill".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it could be A?

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

It would seem so. Your explanation was really good and you explained to yourself why it could be A. You are obviously a smart individual and figured it out by yourself, so just trust yourself on this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks, man!

OpenStudy (soullesseyes):

Thank yourself. But no problem.

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Wow. >.>
