what is the measurement of ZWX
@omarbirjas
This one is simple, you're trying to find the measure of the arc ZWX, correct?
yes
We are trying to find the degrees or the length?
the degree
Ok one of the properties of circles is that the angle degree of a circle (using the center and the 2 farthest points with the 3 point in the middle) will always equal the arc degree.
Now to find the angle, we know that the angle of the diameter is 180 degrees http://prntscr.com/79veru
yes
Since line ZW is also a diameter, it goes through line XR, giving us the angle of 44, and with the properties of angles, we know that adjacent angles will equal the same, which means that angle ZCR will also be 44.
okay so would i take 44 and go power of 2? i did that then i got 1936 i square rooted that and got 44 where in the world am i going WRONG
Haha, it's ok, whenever you square something then square root it, you basically cancel the square and square root out. Its like saying multiplying 44 by 2 then getting 88 and then dividing it by 2. Square and square root are opposites. Now to get your answer, all we have to do is add the 2 angles (180+44) the answer you get will give you the angle, which will also give you the arc.
224 right?
thank you very much
