Which of the following processes involve radioactivity? (Can have multiple answers) A.in medicine B.carbon-14 dating C.oxidation-reduction reactions D.light bulbs
Ever heard of those ultraviolet lightbulbs? the High efficiency ones? They can involve some ultraviolet radiation to go through the bulb. As well as carbon dating, that is one of the poster childs for radioactive dating
As for the medicine, I am quoting a website on radioactivity in the medicine field with this "Therapeutic nuclear medicine uses high doses of radiation from materials that are injected into or ingested by the patient. For example, radioactive iodine can destroy or shrink a diseased thyroid."
As for a total of radioactive processes, I'd say in sum Medicine, Power Generation, research and industrial products use them most. I'm not too fond with the generalized oxidation-reduction option for I'm not quite sure it relates
Thank you very much
